This Golden Oliva mayfly is tied with CDC which allows the fly to be more stable, sail better and increase its buoyancy, something I like for my dry flies.

This family of mayflies is characterized for being the largest member of this group, the hatching is especially early, so we can fish with it from the beginning of the season. It is also one of the first flies to hatch during the month of May.
We can find this fly in our rivers throughout the year, but especially from March to autumn.
Once mated, the female deposits her eggs on partially submerged stones which makes them especially vulnerable at this time, many specimens are dragged by the current and are easy food for trout.
